Heyburn State Park has 3 campgrounds with a total of 129 campsites; 73 standard and 56 serviced sites. There are also 2 cabins and 3 cottages. I did not include the cabins and cottages as they were occuppied so I couldn't review them. There are 2 picnic/day use areas, both having a swimming area. A marina is available and 2 other boat launches. For those of you interested in equine facilities, there is a facility with primitive campsites and some very sturdy corrals. We enjoyed the trails and the marsh the most. Checkout each of these portions of the park through the links above or below.
Campsites: Hawleys Landing Campground, Chatcolet Campground and Benewah Campground.
Picnic Area: Rocky Point Day Use/Beach Area and Plummers Point Day Use/Beach Area.
Boating: Rocky Point Marina, Chatcolet Boat Launch and Trailhead and Benewah Campground Boat Launch.
Phone service: We had phone service and were able to get data and cell service in most parts of the park.
Nearby Services: There is a fairly large grocery/variety store and a gas station in Plummer only 6.5 miles away.
RV Dumping Site: There is a RV dump site across the road from the Visitors Center at the entrance to Hawleys Landing Campground.
