Locust Park Campground

Name: Locust Park Campground

Locust Campground is basically a large parking area for RV's next to Scout Park along the Snake River just below CJ Strike Dam. It has barbecue pits spaced every so often. It is close enough to Scout Park that you could easily use their facilities. The information below is for Locust Park only.

Campsites: There are no individual campsites, however, there are barbecue pits spaced along the edge near the Snake River.

Water: Honestly, I'm not sure about the drinking water in Locust Park, however, there is drinking water at Scout Park.

Garbage Services: Dumpster available.

Restroom: There is a vault style toilet across the road in a grassy area. There are also flushing toilets in Scout Park Campground nearby. We found them to be clean and well maintained.

Pets: Pets are welcome on a leash.

Fishing: This is river fishing. Sturgeon, trout and catfish are primarily what they fish for along this stretch.

Boating: There is a boat ramp for access to the river.

Swimming: There is no swimming in this campground. The water has a strong current.

Phone service: There is cell phone reception in this campground, but limited. No pay phone at this campground, however there is one at North Park Campground

RV Dumping Site: There is a waste water dump site available.
