Sage Bluff Campground is part of Lake Cascade State Park. It is a brand new loop on the lake south of Cascade, Idaho. Sage Bluff is stretched along the shoreline with a good beach depending on the water level. The campground is new and has newly planted trees and wildflowers which will one day make this a beautiful spot. The view of the lake and mountains is already fantastic. The pictures here where taken early in a very wet year. It won't be this wet when you visit.

Campsites: Sage Bluff has 11 campsites. Each has a picnic table, and fire pit with grill. The road and driveways are paved while the camping area is graveled. Two sites are double sites and two are pull-through.

Host on Site: When I visited this campground there was a camper marked as the host, but reserveamerica.com says there is no host.

Water: The water is on a pressurized system with faucets in multiple locations.

Garbage Services: Garbage service is available near the outhouse in a large bear resistant dumpster.

Electricity Available: No.

Restroom: There is one brand new vault style outhouse located in the center of the campground.

Handicap Accessible: Yes, Sage Bluff is very handicap accessible. Site 207 is a handicap accessible site.

Firewood: Firewood is available from a stand near your camp host for $6.00 per bundle.

Pets: Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash no more then 6 feet in length.

Picnic Area: Sage Bluff Campground doesn't have a picnic area but the beach is a day-use area. One could drive less than a mile to Blue Heron Campground where the whole campground looks like a picnic area and the day-use fee is only $5.00 per day.

Recreation: Recreation at Sage Bluff includes fishing, boating, skiing, camping, sunbathing and playing on the beach.

Fishing: Fish in Lake Cascade from boat or the shore include trout, bass, perch and Northern Pikeminnow. Check the regulations here.

Boating: There are no boating facilities at Sage Bluff, but one can put in at Van Wyck or Blue Heron and beach your boat at Sage Bluff.

Swimming: There can be a big beach at Sage Bluff Campground depending on the water level. Swimming is allowed but it is "at your own risk" as there is no lifeguard.

Wildlife: I didn't see any wildlife during my visit but there were deer tracks on the beach and ducks and geese could be seen most anytime.

Additional Camping Opportunities: We have reviewed these nearby campgrounds; Amanita Campground, Big Sage Campground, Blue Heron Campground, Buttercup Campground, Crown Point Campground, Curlew Campground, French Creek Campground, Huckleberry Campground, Poison Creek Campground, Rainbow Point Campground, Ridgeview Campground, Sugarloaf Campground, Van Wyck Campground and West Mountain Campground.

Fee Schedule: Single sites are $18.00 plus $1.08 tax and companion sites are $29.68 which includes tax. For your extra vehicle expect to pay an additional $8.48 per day.

Campground Reservations: Sage Bluff Campground is a loop of Lake Cascade State Park. Sites may be reserved through reserveamerica.com.

Phone service: There is no pay phone at Sage Bluff Campground but we had good cell phone reception with our ATT phones.

Nearby Services: Cascade, Idaho, has services and supplies for most any camping need.

RV Dumping Site: The nearest and "free" RV dumping station is at Van Wyck Campground.

Location/Driving instructions: Sage Bluff Campground is new so it doesn't show on Google Maps but I have marked it on this link. It is on Lakeshore Drive only a short drive south of Van Wyck Campground.
