Spring Creek Campground set in the forest along a very small creek west of Hitt Mountain. The elevation here is only 4300 feet which makes this a great early season campground. When we visited the snow had just melted at the campground in late April, camping was free during the walk in season. Later in the summer this is a rather warm place but usually has several campers. This campground is not intended for very large RVs. The longest driveway is listed as 32 feet.

Campsites: There are 14 campsites, each are equipped with a picnic table and fire pit with attached grate. The roads and driveways are gravel.

Host on Site: There is a camp host, they had not yet arrived for the season.

Water: There is a pressurized water system with cool clear water available.

Garbage Services: There is no garbage service available. You will need to pack yours out with you.

Electricity Available: No

Restroom: Three vault style outhouses are stationed about the campground.

Handicap Accessible: The outhouses are handicap accessible.

Firewood: Please bring your own firewood as there is none sold here.

Recreation: Camping and four wheeling are the primary activities but one can also hike, photograph, watch birds and wildlife and more. Check out "Sleepy Springs Interpretive Trail" in our "Recreation" page.

Fishing: The streams in the immediate area are very small but there may be some holes with catchable fish. Check the regulations here.

Swimming: No

Wildlife: Deer, elk and black bear live here.
