Name: Mt Heyburn Campground
Mt. Heyburn Campground is located on the east side of Redfish Lake on the slope above Sandy Beach Boat Ramp. This area is part of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area and is known for the beauty of the Sawtooth Mountains.
Campsites: Mt. Heyburn Campground has 20 tent / RV camping sites. The roads and driveways are paved and the sites are dirt. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring with grill.
Host on Site: There is a host, but we did not meet them.
Water: Yes, pressurized water system here with ok water.
Garbage Services: Garbage service is available in bear resistant containers.
Restroom: The toilets here are vault style outhouses. They were clean and well maintained.
Handicap Accessible: Yes.
Firewood: $6.00 per bundle at the hosts site.
Pets: Pets allowed in the campground on a leash.
Fishing: Redfish Lake is stocked with trout several times a year.
Boating: See Sandy Beach Boat Ramp.
Swimming: No beach at Mt. Heyburn. See Point Campground, Outlet Campground, Sandy Beach Boat Ramp and North Shore Picnic Area.

Location/Driving instructions: From Stanley, Idaho, travel south on Hwy 75 about 4 miles, then turn right on Redfish Lake Road. Follow it for about another 4 miles. Mt Heyburn will be on the left, and Sandy Beach Boat Ramp will be on the right.

Fees And Reservations: Mt Heyburn Campground operates on a first come first served basis. No reservation. Double sites are $32.00, single sites are $16.00, and your extra vehicle is $5.00 per day.
